Journal of Health Economic Evaluations is an international, peer-reviewed, and open access journal. Health economics deals with issues related to effectiveness, value of interventions, and resource utilization in helathcare. Health economics is a tool for appraisal of health care programs, drugs and interventions, and policies from the perspective of health care providers, patients, and payers. It is an interdisciplinary field which brings together researchers from different fields, including economics, medicine, pharmacy, and regulatory affairs.
Journal of Health Economic Evaluations aims to publish research to guide healthcare decision-makers in determining the most cost-effective treatments and/or interventions and allocation of resources. This helps provide the greatest benefit to patients and improves upon the current medical interventions. It is imperative to assess the value of health care interventions beyond simple economics, given the current healthcare environment. Journal of Health Economic Evaluations accepts articles that describe methodologies, literature reviews, comprehensive analyses, and opinions across all therapeutic areas in health outcomes. Articles related to cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-benefit analysis, health technology assessments, cost analysis, and budget impact are of interest for publication.
